Back with a massive pictorial update from a short staycation at The Scarlet

and the Lunar New Year celebrations. Work officially starts tomorrow! 

A part of me would hate to bring an end to our annual break,

but at the same time i can't wait to launch the new Spring collections already ;)

What arrived at my doorstep a week back. The biggest bouquet I've ever received :') 

Off to our lil' getaway!

Lunch at Private Affairs
Mx brought me to this restaurant for lunch before we checked into the boutique hotel and i loved the
ambiance and privacy. There were no other patrons so it felt as though we had the whole place to ourselves.
The 3 course set at $36++ (cosisting of appetiser, main & dessert) was a really good deal to boot.

For appetisers, I had the Pan-Seared Foie Gras, Slow Cooked Egg & 

Morel Mushroom Sauce which i really enjoyed while he had Onion Soup.

The best part has to be the mains, where I had Beef Tenderloin with Mushroon Vol-au-vent 

and Masclun Salad. The meat was so tender, it definitely tops my list for the best steak.

His: Penne Pasta, Slipper Lobster and Black Pepper Sauce

They were very generous with the portion and the flavor was perfect

Desserts: Cheese Platter with Condiments

I wasn't able to appreciate it even though i'm a huge fan of cheese in general

Warm Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream, a pretty safe choice that doesn't go wrong

Staycation at The Scarlet

I love how the hotel is very consistent with the colour theme of Red and Black

Even the toilet was gorgeous, every detail was so beautiful

The location of The Scarlet was fab, situated just next to Ann Siang Hill and Club Street 

which makes it so much easier to decide on a dinner place

It was not long before we decided on Da Paolo Ristorante for dinner, 

we were pretty lucky to get a table despite not making reservations beforehand.

Food was pretty average, i'm not sure if i will head back again

So we ended the night with cocktails and fondue at the hotel's rooftop bar, Breeze

Scored these lovelies for less than 20bucks, definitely my best deal for the night

Breakfast at Le Chocolat Cafe

We got up bright and early the next day so we wouldn't miss the rainbow cakes phew

Ham&cheese Croissant/Toast, English Breakfast Tea/Coffee, Cereal and Fruits 

My first Rainbow Cake Slice ($7) which made me a happygirl the entire day

Lunar New Year Celebrations

We held a self-collection session in the office a few days before Cny, 

and it was such a pleasure meeting you girls in person. Thank you for making the way down :)

So glad the courier bags came in time before our last Cny collection!

In Floradale Tea Frock Crimson, which complements the skin tone of fair girls 

Caught this huge piece of orange skin during the lion dance performance, 

and sure enough it brought me some good luck during the card games. Hee cheap thrill ;)

My favorite Tapestry Tweed Dress is finally here, cant wait to launch it soon!
