[Sponsored] Kkongdon Barbeque by JP pepperdine

If you are a fan of Authentic & Affordable Korean BBQ, you're in for a yummy treat!

I was lucky to be invited to a sponsored food tasting session at Kkongdon Barbeque by JP Pepperdine last week which i was pretty
excited about because i lovee Korean cuisines. Kkongdon is really popular in Korea with 67 outlets to date. Imagine my delight
when i found out a total of eleven outlets are expected to be opened in Singapore within the next three years.

Jolene and myself at their Marina Link outlet, she's a huge fan of korean bbqs as well

So what sets Kkongdon apart from the other korean bbq joints, you say?
Here's a few of its unique differences/selling points:
Free-flow kimchi salad bar

Guests can enjoy kimchi that is freshly produced in-house, with order of any main course at no extra charge.
Besides the orignial Red Kimchi, they also have white kimchi, cucumber kimchi, garlic soya sauce kimchi and
white radish kimchi so you'll be spoilt for choice.

Besides kimchi, the salad bar also has condiments that comprise key ingredients such as fresh lettuce which can be used to wrap the bbq meat.
I couldn't wait to tuck in

Directly imported from New Zealand and Korea

The beef served at the restaurant is chilled, prime steer cuts and natural-fed, directly sourced and shipped from N.Z Silver Fern Farms.
This beef is from the very batch imported and served at Jack's Place restaurants.

One of its signature dishes includes the Tong Samgyeopsal (pork belly), my personal fav as well!

The marinated meat from it menu is specially prepared with authentic Korean sauces, using a strong recipe that has been adapted from
the Kkongdon outlets in Korea. Various popular dipping sauces for the meat were provided such as the oriental sweet and sour sauce, soya sauce

Ssam Jang sauce (spicy chilli sauce imported from Korea)

and my fav onion sauce

Meet Emily! The friendly korean lady chef behind all the yummy dishes, who was trained at Kkongdon in korea.

Here's a few of the must-eat from the menu;
Kimchijjim Jeongol (Kimchi & Pork Belly Stew)

Kimchi Buchimgae (Kimchi Pancake)

 Samgetang (Ginseng Chicken)

Mul-Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles in Iced Broth)
Highly highly recommended ;)

 Bibimbap

The service was excellent, halfway through our meal the staff changed our bbq pan to a new and clean one

Authentic Korean Drinks
Hot Barley Tea which complements the food as it best reduces the oily aftertaste from the bbq meat

Jolene's fav korean grape juice which came with the real fruit pulp

Clean Air Purifier
Besides the individual retractable exhaust pipes that are installed at each dining table, the restaurant also has a clean air purifier
placed in a corner in its belief that guests should not smell like the food after dining.

Are you tempted already?
